The Merck Benefits Book is designed to help you find information about an important part of your total compensation—your benefits. The Merck Benefits Book is divided into two main categories, flex and non-flex benefit plans, each containing summaries of the various benefits plans.
The Flex Benefits section contains summaries of the flex plans for salaried and union flex-eligible employees. Please note that each of the Flex plans have been updated, effective January 1, 2007, with individual summaries of material modifications (SMMs), to reflect recent changes and supplement the 2002 Merck Benefits Books.
The Non-Flex Benefits section contains summaries of the non-flex plans for salaried employees. Certain non-flex plans, including the Separation Pay Plan, Short-Term Disability Plan, and Business Travel Accident Plan, are currently being updated, however, current information about these plans is available here (when you select to view or print information about either of these plans, be sure to also view or print the Summary of Materials Modification letter, Table of Contents, and Participation Overview sections).
This Web site is intended only as a guide to using the employee benefit programs available to eligible salaried, U.S.-based (and U.S. Expatriate) employees of Merck & Co. Inc., its divisions and the following subsidiaries... more >>
