Flex 2002 News: Flex 2002 Information and Tools: Fast Facts

Fast Facts
  • The health care benefit changes highlighted in this newsletter are the only major modifications that will be included in Flex 2002. However, other minor changes—including contribution adjustments for certain benefits such as life insurance, long-term care insurance and financial planning benefits and new rules for dependent care account contributions—will also occur.
  • Last year, employees had 19 days to enroll in Flex 2001—but over 40% of participants waited until the last two days to enroll. Typically, this last-minute volume overloads the EASy enrollment system and results in delays for employees looking to make flex changes. So, if you’re traditionally a benefits procrastinator, you might want to consider taking a different approach for Flex 2002. By beating the cyber-crowds and enrolling early, you’ll avoid the last-minute rush…and you’ll be doing your part to make Flex 2002 “operationally excellent.”
