In recent years, a combination of industrialization, urbanization and increasing population growth have put pressure on both the availability and quality of fresh water supplies. This has led to increasing concern and efforts to ensure efficient and sustainable use of water resources. We recognize that the availability of sufficient quantities of clean water is critical to sustaining both human health and the environment and that there are regional differences in water quality, availability, vulnerability and demand that must be considered. Therefore, we are taking steps to improve our overall water use efficiency and to understand our water footprint.
