Merck’s research pipeline continues to grow as we accelerate our discovery
efforts. In the past year, we have advanced 26 candidates to the next
clinical development stage. We currently have seven candidates in Phase III
development, 17 distinct candidates in Phase II and another 23 in Phase I.
Small molecules and biologics are given MK-number designations and vaccine candidates are given V-number designations.
