Introduction

Most gastric disorders that occur in elderly patients also occur in younger patients. However, the presentation, complications, and treatment of these disorders may be different in elderly patients than in younger patients. Hiatus hernia and bleeding in the stomach are discussed in Ch. 112. Stomach tumors are discussed in Ch. 113.
