Children can develop a variety of digestive disorders. All digestive disorders involve varying degrees of pain, vomiting, or changes in appetite and bowel function. The challenge for parents is to provide information that will help doctors distinguish serious from nonserious disorders and, in some cases, to help their children adjust to chronic disorders that require fairly constant medical attention.
