Coronary Angiography: Catheter Insertion



Coronary angiography is used to obtain diagnostic information about the heart. Under sterile conditions, the doctor inserts a slender catheter into an artery in the groin and threads it through to the heart. Later, dye will be injected to visualize the structures in the heart.
