It's Personal

Living with HIV

“I’m sorry to tell you this … you’ve tested positive for HIV.”

The year was 1995, but Merck HIV Community Liaison Catherine Elliott remembers that scene as though it happened yesterday.

When I first found out I was HIV positive, I was scared. I was shocked.

But rather than letting the disease defeat her, Catherine immersed herself in learning more about it.

As a result of educating myself about HIV disease, I found that I had a passion for helping others also.

THIS IS CATHERINE’S STORY
