See what our interns are saying about working at Merck!

Being an intern here at Merck has truly been one of the best learning experiences I have ever had. To say that it has prepared me for the real world would honestly be an understatement. I have been very fortunate to work with such a great team who really pushed me to reach my full potential and made me feel like part of the team instead of just "the intern." I was able to see the interworkings of a major corporation, expand my knowledge base by working in an environment that was completely foreign to me, and had the opportunity to work with colleagues from around the globe. These are lessons and experiences that no professor's lecture or textbook could teach you. On a final note, I must say that the true joy of being able to work for a company as great as Merck has been knowing that whatever work that I do, in the end, will help benefit millions of people around the world. Not many people can say that, but I am honored to be able to.

Zachery B - Merck Intern working in Information Security

School: Florida State University

Major: Business Management with a Supply Chain focus.

I interned two summers at Merck & Co, both of which were in very different roles. My first summer I learned a lot about how the pharmaceutical industry functions with my own projects directly related to manufacturing. The second summer, I was able to be directly involved with and lead lab studies, which were then carried out in full-scale processes. In addition, I was able to build an unbelievable network of friendly and dedicated professionals who are now a strong support system for my future. Thank you Merck!

Kaitlin K - Merck Intern working in Sterile Liquid Commercialization

School: Lehigh University

Major: Chemical Engineering, minor in Spanish.

My name is Mike and I was an intern in Merck's Future Talent program for the summer of 2013. I had the opportunity to work in University and Diversity Recruiting for Merck. The main project that I got to work on focused on developing a companywide recruitment and outreach strategy for specific populations Merck wanted to target. I really valued the chance to work autonomously on such a large project, and learned more than I ever thought I would in one summer! The nature of my project encouraged me to learn and collaborate with others inside and outside of Merck. As a result, I not only left with real world experience but gained numerous new connections and mentors that will be valuable assets when I start my career search this spring. The Merck Future Talent Program is a fantastic opportunity that offers experiences second to none!
