Merck Breaks Ground on New $1 Billion Biologics Center of Excellence in Wilmington, Delaware
Merck Wilmington Biotech will serve as a launch and commercial production facility and the future U.S. home for KEYTRUDA Merck (NYSE: MRK), known as MSD outside of the United States and Canada, announced today the start of construction for a $1 billion, 470,000-square-foot state-of-the-art biologics center of excellence in Wilmington, Delaware. A cornerstone of Merck’s continued commitment to investing in American innovation and infrastructure, Merck Wilmington Biotech will comprise laboratory, manufacturing and warehouse capabilities to enable the launch and commercial production of next-generation biologics and therapies including potent antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), reinforcing Merck’s focus on expanding and diversifying its pipeline.
