Dave Maraldo, Ph.D.
Executive vice president and president, Merck Manufacturing Division
Dave Maraldo is executive vice president and president, Merck Manufacturing Division. He has responsibility for the company’s worldwide human health manufacturing and supply operations across a global network of sites for pharmaceuticals, vaccines and biologics.
Since joining our company as a project engineer in 1999, he progressed through a range of leadership roles across manufacturing, technical operations, commercialization and integrated development and supply. Building on that foundation, he led global biologics operations from 2022- 2025 and most recently served as senior vice president of human health manufacturing.
An active champion of leadership development, Dave has served as the executive sponsor for the Society for Women Engineers and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Future of STEM Scholars Initiative. He also contributes to several advisory boards, including the Widener University School of Engineering Board of Advisors and the William D. and Sherry L. Young Institute for the Advanced Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals at Purdue University. He has also previously served on the NIBRT Training Advisory Board, a world-class institute that provides training and research solutions for the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, in addition to serving in an advisory role for Hilleman Laboratories.
Dave earned his Ph.D. and master of chemical engineering degrees from Drexel University, an MBA degree from Lehigh University and a bachelor of chemical engineering degree from Widener University.
