Board of Directors as of February 27, 2007

On April 24, 2007, Richard T. Clark will become chairman of Merck’s Board of Directors. Mr. Clark has served as the Company’s president and CEO since May 2005. Also on April 24, two long-time Board members, Lawrence A. Bossidy and William G. Bowen, will retire. Dr. Samuel O. Thier has been named the new lead director.
