ASTHMA EDUCATION PROGRAM

Four families in cities across the U.S. now have healthier places to call home, thanks to the Build Smart, Breathe Easier national asthma education program.

Since May 2011, when Merck announced the launch of this program in the U.S., teams of volunteers from Merck, Habitat for Humanity and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, along with HGTV's Carter Oosterhouse, have built four houses with asthma-healthy features.

House keys were presented to each of the four families in dedication ceremonies where they toured their new homes for the first time and learned about their asthma-healthy features.
