We're promoting science education for underrepresented students.

Merck ManualsFor 17 years, the UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and Merck have worked together to increase the number of  African American students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines in the field of bioscience. To date, the UNCF/Merck Science Initiative has given 627 scholarships and fellowships to promising undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral science students pursuing careers in biomedical research.

Over the years, Merck's commitment has totaled approximately $45 million.
